Getac has introduced their up coming new 15,6 inch rugged laptop, called Getac X500. The X500 laptop comes with combines features of the Getac B300 and Getac M230 laptops and considered ultra-rugged provide ultra fast speed and expandability to produce the ultimate computing solution for field operations.

Getac X500 laptop is designed with a magnesium alloy case and NightVision-ready for working in darkness using night vision goggles. The X500 rugged notebook has Military-certified for extreme conditions, MIL-STD-2169B certifed, MIL-STD-810G certified and MIL-STD 461F certifed for survival against shock, high altitude, up to 95 percent RH humidity, flammables, water, dust, temperatures of up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit, magnetic pulse, explosive materials, and electromagnetism.

Getac X500 rugged notebook is powered by Intel Core i5-520M (2.4GHz) or Intel Core i7-620M (2.66GHz), up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, Intel Integrated Graphic with Optional NVIDIA GeForce GT330M MXM GPU with 512MB VRAM, a 15.6 inch LED display with 1366 x 768 pixel and support QuadraClear “sunlight readable” display with 1000 NITs, a 320GB SATA hard drive or 160GB SATA SSD, an optional Super multi-DVD, Waterproof backlit mechanical membrane keyboard and runs on Windows 7 options or Windows XP Professional for perating system.
